The Children’s Museum of Fennville

The Children’s Museum recently hosted an Autism Night for families of autistic children. Through our
research, we found it is estimated that 1 in 110 children in the United States have an autism spectrum
disorder. This information affirms the need for us to reach out to these families. These children deserve
the same safe, fun, hands on learning activities as all children.
We were able to offer this event because of a generous gift from Richard Lynema of Liberty Plastics in
Holland. The evening was a great success with families expressing their appreciation. A fun family night
was shared without all the worries that can come with ASD. Thank you Mr. Lynema for supporting the
Children’s Museum of Fennville and the community.

Mr. Lynema’s sponsorship will once again allow us to offer this event at no cost to families, on Friday,
March 16, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This event is for children of autism and their families only. We
will be closed to the general public on this evening.
