Revised its Tax Increment Financing and Development Plan
Developed a Strategic Plan for downtown, a process which included several
“town hall” meetings attended by residents, business owners, governmental
agencies, and other interested parties
Was instrumental in developing a City Center Overlay District zoning ordinance,
which enhances the community core by providing for higher density residential
uses and commercial uses in the downtown area
Was instrumental in developing a sidewalk use permit ordinance, which allows
businesses to apply for permission to use the sidewalk space for temporary
signs, outdoor seating and sales.
Developed a marketing study
Was successful in attracting the children’s museum to Fennville
Purchased vacant property & removed blighted empty buildings in anticipation of
a major 'City Central Redevelopment Project' on Main Street
Worked with City to replace trees in the downtown area
Developed a facade loan program for downtown businesses
Developed a Small Town Design Initiative
Developed an interpretive panel for the Allegan County Heritage Trail
Provide flowers and their maintenance for the downtown area
Instrumental in developing the notice of intent and application for the Community
Development Block Grant for the New School & Street Safety Enhancement
project
Working with the City and the Chamber of Commerce to plan the 2007 Goose
Festival
Built a kiosk for community information
Working on paving & landscaping work for City Hall parking lot
Working on creating a Fennville Farmer’s Market
